Size Guide
Our berets come in one size (56–58 cm) and fit most adults from 54 to 59 cm — that's roughly 95% of heads. Not sure about yours? It takes 30 seconds to check.
How to measure your head
- Grab a soft measuring tape — or a piece of string and a ruler.
- Wrap it around your head about 1 cm (½ inch) above your eyebrows and ears — right where the beret's band will sit. Keep it level and snug, but not tight.
- Note the measurement. If you used string, mark where it overlaps and measure it flat against a ruler. Measure twice for accuracy.
Size chart
| Head circumference (cm) | Head circumference (inches) | Standard hat size | Fit in our one-size beret |
|---|---|---|---|
| 54–55 cm | 21¼–21⅝″ | S | Relaxed fit — sits a touch loose, easy to slouch and style |
| 56–57 cm | 22–22½″ | M | Ideal fit — exactly what the beret is cut for |
| 58 cm | 22⅞″ | L | Comfortable fit — secure without pressure |
| 59 cm | 23¼″ | L/XL | Snug at first — wool relaxes up to 1 cm with wear |
A note on stretch & materials
- Wool (most of our berets): naturally flexible — it molds to your head and relaxes up to ~1 cm over the first few wears.
- Cotton & linen: a little structured with slight give; true to the measurements above.
- Leather & faux leather: minimal stretch — best for 54–57 cm heads.
How a beret should sit
The band rests level across your forehead, about 2–3 cm above the eyebrows, with the volume pushed to one side or back. If it leaves a mark after wearing, it's too tight; if it slides when you tilt your head, push the band slightly higher.
